Meditating Monks watercolor painting

In Meditating Monks, three animal figures—a turtle, a dog, and a mouse—sit in quiet contemplation, robed in warm hues of orange and gold.

Painted in watercolor on 10x14" paper, the scene unfolds on a rocky ledge surrounded by lotus blooms, with a waterfall cascading in the distance and trees swaying under a soft, golden sky. The animals, rendered with gentle anthropomorphism, evoke a sense of harmony and spiritual curiosity.

This piece invites viewers into a world where nature and mindfulness converge, offering a moment of peace, humor, and quiet reflection.
